Website clients have a range of needs and a range of budgets. We work with each client up front to establish a fixed cost for their project so that there are no surprises when the bill comes due. For websites, 50% of the fee is due with the submission of the new client questionnaire, and the remainder due upon completion.

The preferred payment method is by check or bank transfer, but cash and credit cards (through PayPal, with a $10 additional fee) are also accepted.

WordPress website

A WordPress theme requires considerable customization so that the site looks 100% professional, matches your company's branding, and includes the exact components you need. Typical customizations include headers and footers, text size and spacing, color scheme, link styling, and dropdown menus. We assume our clients want a website that convinces their audience that their products or services stand out from the competition.

Our base fee is $2,600 for customizing your chosen WordPress theme into a beautifully tailored site and building your starting pages.

Some of the best WordPress features are provided through plugins, including event calendars, links to social media outlets like Facebook, and contact forms. As with themes, there are many plugins to choose from; several must be installed and tested on your site before the right one is found and customized to match the look of the rest of your site. These add-on components can be included for $250 per plugin.

In addition, we offer WordPress users the option of a $99/year retainer that covers WordPress sytem updates, plugin updates, site security checks, and miscellaneous small site changes.

Custom, professional HTML website

For a custom HTML website (built using the Twitter Boostrap framework) with up to 5 pages of static/fixed information, the fee is $1,800; additional pages can be added for $50 each. This fee includes the following:

• up to 2 hours of PhotoShop work on images,
• customized site graphics,
• simple contact-us form,
• Google Analytics,
• dropdown-menus, and
• accordion/FAQ-style movement.

More advanced features are priced on a per-project basis, and stock photos purchased for your site are billed at cost.

Upon completion, we will upload the website files to your hosting provider, and your site will be live!

Website maintenance, updates, & refreshers

We welcome clients who already have a website (WordPress or HTML), and are in need of someone to manage or customize it to meet your current needs—changing dates or prices, adding a map, changing images or logos, and so on. Maintenance services for existing websites are billed at $75/hour (no minimum, no "rounding up").

Email setup

Many hosting companies offer free email accounts to go with a domain name (joe@joeschmoe.com). For clients who want to use their new email address, but prefer Gmail's interface and convenience, we can set up integration with your current Gmail account for $190. We are also available to help you set up Google Workspace (G-Suite) for your small business, billed at our hourly rate of $75/hour.
